Young Driver, Connor Kuykendall, Claims 2nd Annual Arkansas Factory Stock Shootout

Forty-five Arkansas Factory Stock Cars showed up for time trials on Thursday night for the $5000 to win Arkansas Factory Stock Shootout at Batesville Motor Speedway held on August 28-31, 2024
Connor Kuykendall, a fifteen year old driver from Little Rock, AR, took home the trophy and the $5000 first place prize money. Kuykendall set the Pitts Exxon Fast Time in practice on Thursday night and finished second to Edwin Wells in his heat on Friday night.
The Pitts Exxon $300 Second Quick Time went to Trevor Ford of Mt. View, Arkansas and $200 Third Quick Time was Kevin Atkinson from Vilonia, Arkansas.
Josh Jackson (Morrilton, AR), Dale Nelson (Milan, TN), Cody Lowe Little Rock), Larry Campbell (ft.Smith, AR) and Trevor Ford were the other Heat Race Winners on Friday night. Winning the dash for the pole on Saturday night was Trevor Ford.
Dale Nelson of Milan, Tennessee led the race for 48 laps before Kuykendall managed to overtake Nelson on lap 48 and made his way to the checkered flag.
Finishing out the the top ten behind Kuykendall and Nelson, were Curtis Cook Conway, AR), Trevor Ford, Dustin Stuart (Benton, AR), Taylor Carver (Lockesburg, AR), Gavin Lowe (Vilonia, AR), Micah Gavin (Newark, AR), Nick Lawrence (Pea Ridge, AR), and Joe Payne of Concord, AR.
